Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision on Windermere Road, Kendal.
The collision was reported to police at around 8am today (1 May) involving a van and cyclist.
The cyclist, a 14-year-old boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The road was closed for a period of time whilst investigations were ongoing.
