Police are appealing for information after a man sustained serious injuries during an assault in Workington.
The incident occurred on Washington Street, at approximately 4:50am today (10 May) where a man was punched by an unknown man.
The victim, aged in his 20s, remains in hospital.
At this stage the suspect has not been identified and officers are conducting extensive enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding this incident.
Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault or may have relevant footage which could assist this investigation.
