Police officers investigating reports of break-ins in the Brampton area (east of Carlisle) arrested a man who has been charged with offences.
Nathan Stewart, 29, of no fixed address was arrested in the early hours of Monday morning (28 Sept).
He has been charged with going equipped for burglary and an offence of making off without payment. He was remanded to attend Carlisle Magistrates’ Court today.
Officers investigating have recovered a bicycle which they are keen to reunite with its owner.
It is a ‘Giant’ brand bicycle.
People are asked to check their outbuildings in case they are missing such a bicycle.
Anyone coming forward to claim it will be expected to provide proof of ownership.
