A man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary following an incident in Carlisle.
Police received a report at 7.22pm last night ( February 27 ) from residents at an address at Newfield Drive, stating a man had entered their address who they did not know.
The man caused damage in the house.
Officers were deployed and made the arrest.
None of the residents of the house were harmed.
Armed officers were deployed as a precaution during the response.
Residents may have seen a significant police presence in the area as a result.
The arrested man, aged 50, remains in custody today.
