A man from Barrow has been sentenced to 45 months in prison for drug dealing in Barrow.
Bailey Dutton, 20, who at the time of this offence was already on licence after being sentenced to 3-years imprisonment for drugs offences in 2025, was sentenced at Preston Crown Court for possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs.
The court heard how on 27 March 2026, offices executed a warrant at an address on Manchester Street, Barrow.
Officers located Dutton inside the property and also found a large vacuum bag containing the remnants of cannabis.
A drugs dog then also commenced a search of the property and unveiled further quantities of cannabis as well as bags and boxes of cocaine and over £2000 in cash.
The seized cocaine was valued at between £16,000-£20,000.
A spokesperson for Westmorland and Furness’s Community and Serious Organised Crime (CSOC) unit said: “Our officers were committed to bringing Dutton before the courts, and evidence of his criminal activity was uncovered during searches of his home.
“The supply and misuse of Class A drugs causes significant harm to families and communities, and Barrow will undoubtedly be a safer place with this individual behind bars.”
The investigation and seizure forms part of Operation Alliance - Cumbria Constabulary’s ongoing response to protect the county against serious and organised crime.
