Police are investigating a high value burglary that occurred at a property on Beacon Edge, Penrith in the early evening of Thursday 27 March.
The incident took place at around 8pm.
A suspect described as wearing dark clothing and a face covering was disturbed by the occupier who was in the property during the offence.
Police are appealing to the local community for any witnesses or for anyone with any information to report to police.
Detective Superintended Vicki Coombes said: “Being a victim of burglary can have a massive impact on victims and people have every right to feel safe in their own home.
“Given the time of the report, we would like to hear from anyone in the area who may have been out and about and seen anything suspicious.
“We would also anyone with relevant CCTV or Ring doorbell cameras to check their footage.
“I would encourage anyone to come forward if you know anything about this incident so that our team of detectives can investigate.”
