Police are seeking witnesses and information following a two-vehicle collision on the A69 at Aglionby last night ( Monday September 14 ).
It happened at 10.10pm and involved a BMW and a Seat Ibiza.
The two drivers – both men – sustained injuries and received medical treatment.
One, a man in his twenties, the driver of the Seat, was in a serious condition this morning at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.
The road was closed for a number of hours while a forensic collision investigation was carried out.
