Residents asked to keep windows closed as emergency services respond to fire in Armathwaite

Emergency services are in attendance at a fire in Armathwaite, south of Carlisle, this evening (22 July).

The fire was reported at around 8pm. There are no reported casualties to what is believed to be an empty building.

A number of fire appliances are in attendance and road closures are in place.

People are asked to avoid the area and not to attend the scene. People living in the vicinity are also asked to keep their windows closed.
