Two men charged with causing death by dangerous driving

Officers investigating a fatal road traffic collision in Cleator Moor on 26 May have charged two men overnight (9 July).

Following the collision Ennerdale Road, police arrested three men.

Kieran Yorke, 22, of Woodend in Egremont has previously been charged with causing death by dangerous driving. The other two men were bailed whilst investigations continued.

Overnight, Shaun Rafferty, 22, of Hunters Drive, Seaton and Stefan Young, 23, of Moresby Parks, Whitehaven, have been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.

They were bailed to attend Workington Magistrates’ Court on 3 August 2026.
