UPDATE: A man who died following a collision on the A591, near Winter Lane, on Saturday (Oct 11) has been identified as Mr Derek Swarbrick, from Kendal, Cumbria.

Police were called to a two-vehicle collision on the A591, near Winter Lane, at 3.28pm on Saturday October 11.
The collision involved a Peugeot 108 and a Volkswagen Golf.
The driver of the Peugeot, a man in his eighties, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Volkswagen, a man in his twenties, sustained non-serious injuries that didn’t require hospital treatment.
Officers are investigating the collision and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to contact them.
