Investigations are ongoing into the death of a man following an incident at 39 Whinsmoor Drive, Carlisle, on 30 May 2026.
Police received a report at around 11:14am on the 30 May that a man had suffered a serious head injury.
He was taken by air ambulance to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle, where he later died on 2 June 2026.
An initial six people were arrested in connection with this incident on suspicion of a number of offences, including grievous bodily harm and murder.
A further individual has since been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
All individuals have since been released on bail and police enquiries are ongoing.
Anyone who witnessed this incident, or who has any information relating to it in the hours and days leading up to it between the evening of 28 May 2026 and the morning of 30 May 2026, is urged to come forward.
Police would particularly like to hear from anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage in the areas of Whinsmoor Drive and Central Avenue, Carlisle.
