A woman has been sentenced to 32 weeks for three thefts and two breaches of a Criminal Behaviour Order.

Lavinia Moorhead, 47, of no fixed address was sentenced today (April 21) at Carlisle Magistrates.

The offences relate incidents last week between the 16 and 18 April.

The court heard on 14 April Moorhead stole food items from Tesco on two occasions and on 18 April stole clothes from M&S.

The breaches of the criminal behaviour order relate to entering Tesco on 14 April and B&M on 16 April.

Moorhead was given a two-year Criminal Behaviour Order on 6 November 2025.

Her order prohibits her from:

  • Not to enter any premises part of the Carlisle Shopwatch/Cumbria Safer Business Partnership (Carlisle) Save and except the defendant is allowed to enter Primark, English Street, Carlisle.
  • Not to enter any Heron Foods supermarket store
  • Not to enter Spar on English Street, Carlisle
